Oh sippy cup, I miss you!

John NOT letting me take his picture!
you can't see me!
say cheese
smile for the camera
the before my new hair cut shot
This past weekend Chloe had a county fair at her school. She had so much fun chasing around her friends and getting her face painted. I was manning the popcorn stand so didn't get any pics, but we are planning the pumpkin patch this week so will take lots!
Johnny said the funniest thing this weekend while I made him a sippy cup of gatorade..."Oh sippy cup, I miss you." I have no idea where this came from but it was a crack up! I guess he was very thirsty.
Chloe's progress report is straight As, which I can't remember if I posted or not. She is going for principal's list but her teacher assures me she has made it already!!!
Johnny is against the potty training and very comical about it. Won't wear his trainers or big boy pants, just baby diapers as he calls them. We are working on it...it is a work in progress. Just a stage!
John's hair cut this weekend was a success. He hates them but allowed me to buzz and clip while he sat on a stool playing with dangerous items such as hammers and flashlights. I try to get pictures of this but he keeps taking pictures of me while I snap away. He thinks this is hysterical hiding his face!
Enjoy!

Kayaking Chesapeake Bay 09

Ready to go!
The Lesner Bridge, yes we went right under it finding lots of barnacles and baby whirlpools along the way!
Happy Kayakers!
Posing with paddle!
Loves digging in the sand!
More digging once we landed to rest.
Snack time on the beach!
Footprints
Once we returned home for the night the kids slept like nothing I have ever seen before! All the fresh air and nature did them good!~

Update!

Hi All! We are having a great week thus far here at the beach. The weather is still hot and school is just finishing up it's Standard 10 testing, which is for the 4th and 5th graders. I'll keep you posted on grades when they come in. Chloe is really enjoying her new class and has participated in creating the reading basket for the county fair next weekend. We also made cakes for the cake walk and cookies for the bake sale. She did a great job! Johnny will be starting Preschool of the Arts which is where he attends music class. This is also where Chloe takes piano lessons and sings. This will give him 2 days a week of 3 hours in a structured setting with children his own age, learning art, music, and tumble time. The website is vbarts.com if you would like to see what he will be into. He must be almost or totally potty trained first so that is the goal we are working on now. Hopefully by Dec. 1 or sooner if he feels so obliged! The kids are doing great and both loved the camping trip to the St. James River this past weekend. It was full of history on the Civil War and we even ate a picnic lunch on the very grounds where Robert E. Lee surrender to Ulysses S. Grant! We are gearing up for kayaking this weekend if the weather holds so expect more pictures asap.
